The Sexiest, Most Healing Season of My Life
By Your Mushy CEO
This is the sexiest season of my life.
But not because of anything flashy or external. It’s because of the quiet reclamation happening deep within me.
My body feels safe. My marriage feels vibrant. And I finally feel at peace with my own desire.
But it wasn’t always this way.
Like so many of us, I was shaped by painful messaging and inherited beliefs about my body, sex, and self-expression.
Things like:
- “It’s wrong to explore your body.”
- “Feeling sexy means you’re being inappropriate.”
- “Sex is a duty, not a choice.”
- “Real connection is risky—it’s better to protect yourself.”
- “Talking about intimacy is embarrassing or taboo.”
- “If you show your feelings, you’ll be seen as weak.”
And underneath those beliefs, there was something even deeper: Unprocessed trauma.
Whether from shame, early experiences, cultural silence, or sexual harm—we carry these imprints in our bodies.
They live in the tension in our jaw…
The way we flinch from touch…
The moments we dissociate during intimacy…
The way we silence our own desire before anyone else has the chance to.
For years, I carried these patterns without realizing it.
Until my healing began.

Psychedelics Helped Me Come Home
Psychedelics gave me a way back into my body—without force, without shame.
Through intentional microdosing and deeper journeys, I slowly began to:
Speak truth in my marriage and intimacy, without shutting down
Uncover where trauma was stored
Soften protective patterns with compassion
Feel pleasure again—without guilt or fear
Rebuild trust with myself and my body
It wasn’t overnight.
But it was sacred.
And it changed everything.
So if you’ve ever felt disconnected from your body, your sexuality, your softness—
Please know this:
You are not broken.
You are carrying what someone else taught you to carry.
And you can lay it down.
Gently. Intentionally. Powerfully.
This isn’t just about sex. It’s about coming home to yourself.
If you are newer to this work, having someone with you who has experience and whom you trust completely is invaluable. A guide isn’t there to control the journey but simply to hold space, remind you that you are safe, and offer support when needed. This could be a close friend, an experienced facilitator, or even a professional therapist trained in this work.
